Dianne York-Goldman: 1. Broad-spectrum sunscreen – it is important to enjoy the sunny weather, but protect you skin at the same time!
Xtra life lycra fabric swimwear that holds it shape longer. It is super fitted to flatter your body.
Wear the most current UVA/UVB protection sunglasses, they’re not only chic, but they protect the skin against wrinkles.
I love wearing Eric Javits hats on the beach – they’re always in style.
Sport, sleek pulled back hair appearing wet & sexy protected by spray sunscreen
Big bold earrings look just as good at the beach as they do at a nightclub, so don’t be afraid to wear a chic pair on while sunbathing on the sand.
Show off your hands and feet with a fresh manicure & pedicure.
But peddies always look chic in a pair of hot, strappy sandals. My favorites are a pair of Jimmy Choos. Other great accessories include a killer beach bag and towel by LV (Louis Vuitton).
And Chanel makes a super fashionable watch - white for the beach is most important. Wearing a watch on the beach is essential because time flies when you're having fun and you don't want to miss your next date with fun and friends!!!
Margo Schwab: Your DYG Mineral Makeup has become very popular worldwide, could you tell us some of the feedback you have gotten?
Dianne York-Goldman: DYG: has helped a lot of people with sensitive skin, skin prone to breakouts or skin that has had a medical treatment. But I’ve noticed such an improvement in people skin with mature clients with skin that has fine lines, because the makeup has light reflective minerals that minimize fine lines. Plus, a lot of people love the sexy flirty colors that are current and edgy, up-to-date and happening! Mothers are so excited to have discovered it for their aging skin and they are so receptive to their daughters wearing a healthy makeup that is actually good for the skin. And Dads not objecting to their little princesses becoming beautiful daughters – right in front of their eyes.
Margo Schwab: What is the biggest skin care needs for teens to college students in Summertime?
Dianne York-Goldman: There are two essential components to remember when it comes to skincare for teens and college students:
1. Acne can be a real problem for teens and young adults. To help combat this problem, I created Cool Clenz, an acne cleaner, acne pads, and acne stick with the maximum amount of sylsalic acid without a prescription. It goes right to the problem area without drying, but will heal and clear the skin with noticeable results.
2. Sunscreen is crucial for young people. When we are young, we tend to think that the sun won’t harm us- because we have yet to see the underlying effects of it. But did you know that 80% of sun damage occurs before the age of 18? The appropriate sunscreen with both UVA and UVB protection is a must! Toss those oils in the garbage and pay attention to the active ingredients in sunscreen! You will thank yourself 20 years down the road for protecting your face from the UVA rays that do the damage now.
Margo Schwab: With your busy schedule what exercise program works for you?
Dianne York-Goldman: My exercise program of choice is Pilates by Michelle K at least twice each week. Nothing helps me relax or unwind more than getting a great workout in at the end of a long day at the office. I also love to roll out of bed in the morning and hit the stationary bike several times each week to begin my day with a boost of energy, and I practice customized body building with a trainer by the Pacific Ocean for the ultimate relaxation environment. It’s important to remember to stay active even when you are on the road! When traveling, I always choose hotels with gym facilities, and often these hotels offer workout classes that are fun and different than what I am used to in my usual routine. For example, one of the most memorable classes I have experienced was a high-impact cardio class in Monte Carlo, taught by an instructor who only spoke French. Even though I’m not fluent, I still got the workout of a lifetime!
