'Go RED For Women' for the American Heart Association

featuring Circle of Red Chairperson, La Jolla Spa MD's

~ Dianne York-Goldman ~

The Go RED for Women Campaign AHA San Diego Fundraiser will

take place February 8th, 2008, at the Hotel Del ring 858-410-3842 for sponsorship and reservation information.

"Circle of Red is an organization of the American Heart Association which is comprised of members, both men and women, who have made a personal commitment to help find a cure for the number one killer of women.  Each member has provided a  $ 5,000.00 or more donation  per year as a donation to do life saving  research. This personal gift is 100% tax deductible and will be put towards critical life-saving research.

As the Chairperson of Circle of Red, I have made a $ 50,000.00 commitment to help reach our goals  in San Diego of $ 100,000.00 by February 8th, 2008.  I have created a new category called the Circle of Ruby for those who donate more than $ 5,000.00.

On February 8th, 2008, we shall have our annual luncheon at the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado.  We never know when the next breakthrough in research will happen.  With our support, we can make it happen sooner, rather than too late.  Please donate today either $ 5,000 or $ 10,000.00 to become a Circle of Red or Circle of Ruby donor for cutting edge research to prevent heart disease." - Sincerely, Dianne York-Goldman, Circle of Red Chairperson

"Heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases claim the lives of over 460,000 women each year – about a death a minute.  That’s more lives than are claimed by the next five causes of death combined and nearly twice as many as are claimed by all forms of cancer, including breast cancer.  The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign is a call-to-action for women to take charge of their heart health, and to know their numbers.  Dianne York-Goldman has joined the American Heart Association this year as the Chairwoman of the Circle of Red movement.  The Circle of Red is an elite group of men and women who have made a personal commitment and financial gift to help find a cure for the leading killer of women.

We are thrilled to have Dianne leading the charge this year for Circle of Red, especially since she is one of the inaugural members from 2007.  Her passion for the fight against heart disease and her commitment to funding life-saving research are exactly what we need to positively change the statistics and to encourage San Diegans to join the movement." - Emily Harris, the American Heart Association ( www.heart.org )
